Its working principle combines mechanical pressure, heat setting and precise feeding technology. The following is a brief description of its core workflow and principles:

1. Feeding and positioning
Fabric delivery: Flat fabrics are fed into the pleating area at a uniform speed through a conveyor belt or roller system, and sensors ensure that the fabric position is accurately aligned.

2. High-temperature and high-pressure shaping
Hot-pressing mechanism: The core part consists of a pair of pressing plates arranged up and down. When the fabric passes through, high temperature (usually 150~200℃) and back pressure force the fabric to sunray shape or blinds shape.

Principle of heat setting: Synthetic fibers (such as polyester) reorganize their molecular chains at high temperatures and permanently maintain their wrinkle shape after cooling; natural fibers (such as cotton) may need to be assisted by the addition of setting agents.

3. Cooling and setting
The pleated fabric are pushed out by feeding fresh fabric constantly. Meanwhile, natural cooling or cooling with fan are necessary to get ever pleats

4. Automatic control
PLC system: Control parameters such as temperature, positioning, and feeding speed to ensure uniform pleats.

5.1 Precise temperature control: Avoid excessive temperature damage to the fabric or insufficient temperature causing failure of setting.
